- HOW IT WORKS
- ZAPS-IT ™ is a blend of friendly bacteria which remain inactive in the bottle. When sprayed on a problem area, the solution penetrates into porous surfaces, grouting, cracks and hard to reach areas. Upon contact with residues of urine, feces, vomit, blood, food soils and other organic wastes enzymes begin breaking down the odor-forming organics into liquids.
- The bacteria then convert the absorbed organics into carbon dioxide and water which quickly dissipate. While this process is taking place, the pleasant fragrance of ZAPS-IT ™ provides immediate relief from bad odors.
- ZAPS-IT ™ enhances the natural waste treatment process by providing the right blend of selectively adapted enzyme producing bacteria to solve your toughest odor and staining problems.
- DIRECTIONS / DILUTION
- Before using ZAPS-IT ™, test carpet for color fastness in some unobtrusive spot. Zaps It can be diluted. We recommend a dilution rate of 9:1. See label for details.
- ODOR CONTROL
- Use ZAPS-IT ™ after normal cleaning procedures are completed. Best results are obtained by saturating the problem area with ZAPS-IT ™ concentrate. Allow to air dry. Repeat once or twice daily until the odor is eliminated. Then clean thoroughly to remove all ZAPS-IT ™ residues from treated area. Allow to dry completely before contact.
- STAIN REMOVAL
- Before using ZAPS-IT ™, test carpet and fabrics for color fastness in an unobtrusive spot.
- First remove all solid waste. Then, saturate the soiled area. CARPET: Agitate with a brush or cloth. FABRIC: Moisten a cloth with ZAPS-IT ™ and gently rub in a circular motion. Allow contact time. Rinse with water and blot up. Repeat if necessary, allowing additional contact time prior to blotting.
- All ZAPS-IT ™ residues should be removed from the treated area prior to reuse.
- Note: Vomitus, urine, previously ingested medications and many other contaminants, soils and staining substances can have an adverse effect on carpeting, textiles and other surfaces. Any existing damage will not be apparent while the surface is soiled. However, when the stain is removed, the cleaned spot may appear discolored or different than the original color. This discoloration is not caused by ZAPS-IT ™. The only effect of using ZAPS-IT ™ is it removes the soils or stains which mask damage that has already taken place.
- It is nearly impossible to predict in advance where discoloration or other damage exists beneath soils or stains. We highly recommend cleaning a small spot first. Examine the results prior to using ZAPS-IT ™ in a larger area or for multiple stained spots. Taking this precaution should virtually eliminate the risk of disappointment in the final results of treatment.
